About Me

Small headshot spring 07Semi-official short bio: I’m an independent web developer, writer, and instructor in the Washington, DC area. I have created and managed dozens (hundreds?) of websites since 1997, written two computer books, designed coursework for web education, and taught college and professional web design classes. I run a small web firm called Fab Apps.

And here’s my list. I’m …

  • a self-employed web specialist
  • living in Arlington, VA with this wonderful guy
  • constantly creating and neglecting websites for “fun”
  • sometimes found writing for fun and/or profit
  • taking classes sometimes in fun stuff like writing, art, and kung fu
  • a hiker, a biker, a lion tamer … well, I made that last one up
  • in touch with my inner (and outer) nerd
  • my twin sister’s twin
  • an avid doodler, but not much of an artist
  • a vegetarian
  • a lover of sushi … okay, make that sushi-tarian
  • extremely fond of hummus, doubly of tziki
  • crazy about gourmet olives
  • often found at burrito stands
  • a lifelong resident of the Washington, DC area (Northern Virginia)
  • rather good at making lists, if I do say so myself
  • kinda outdoorsy
  • conversant in German
  • hunting for the perfect gadget
  • trying to save the planet
  • keeping too many journals for my own good

And some other stuff, too. Please get in touch if you have fun and interesting things you want to talk to me about.
