Two weeks, two websites

They’re small websites, but still, it’s pretty cool that I launched two websites in two weeks. Another web project — which I’ve been working on for over a month — will be launching over the weekend, so I’ll try to post about that next week. Busy busy.

This week, I launched a mini-site for an upcoming film premiere and fundraising event. The film is called Lessons from the Waterfront: The Anacostia, and it was developed as a collaborative youth project by MMTI.

Last week, I did a quick facelift for RM Brokerage, a materials recycling service that specializes in re-purposing unused carpet into new materials. My clients had already had a website developed for the business a year earlier, but they were unhappy with the sub-par appearance, so they asked me to take a stab at improving it.

I am still working on a new website for fabapps. Why is it always my websites that suffer? (Yes, that was a rhetorical question.)

Mini update for February, er, March

What have I been up to all month? Well, I launched the website and email newsletter for the Multi-Media Training Institute in February. I’ll be working with MMTI on a youth training program (PDF) where we’re teaching at-risk DC youth cool stuff like music production, filmmaking, and web design.

Oh yeah, I’ve been up to lots of other stuff, too. My kung fu class is pretty cool and, well, humbling, — but I’m starting to feel like I might know a thing or two. I’m also taking a class on writing Short Short stories, which is stimulating and fun. Eventually I’ll write something good in the class and post it somewhere online.

And to update something from my previous post, I haven’t gotten to the fabapps.com redesign yet, but it’s still in the works!
