(This project was completed as a consultant for ParsonsTKO.)
Developed a User Experience (UX) strategy and led the visual design process for a leading resilience organization’s web presence. I determined the initial audiences and engagement goals by conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and comparative analysis. From there, I was able to lead workshops to whiteboard and sketch low-fidelity wireframes and an initial sitemap (in Miro via Zoom screenshare).

Once we had finalized our overall strategy, I proceeded to create medium-resolution wireframes (in Figma) to nail down the overall messaging and components needed for the principal pages of the new, expanded website for the organization.

The UX and audience engagement strategy was also piped into a new visual design direction. I worked with a team of two visual designers on bold typography, a modern color palette, and a design language for the new site, which we were able to create collaboratively in Figma.

My final work on this project was to prepare the site for implementation by tying up loose ends and articulating final details via — obviously — spreadsheets! Collaborating with the whole team in Google Sheets, the sitemap became a spreadsheet to guide both content development and technical implementation, and the element list was broken down in detail to ensure the design system we provided would include all the site’s content components.
This is a great organization — I loved learning more about resilience and contributing some digital communication expertise to their important work! This new and expanded website launches in summer 2021.
